Dental Artistry was founded on the premise to bring the latest dental technologies and techniques to Auckland, in order to better care for our patients.
Dental Artistry Academy is the professional education branch of the practice and its mission is to train the super dentists of the future so they can better serve the people of New Zealand.
Through its networks, it aims to bring the most exciting and current continuing professional development programs to oral health professionals of New Zealand.
Dental Artistry Academy is a purpose build facility adjoined to the practice with a lecture theatre seating 40+ students and clinical training facilities for live surgical observations.
The Academy is available for hire to other education providers.
Principal Dentist
Dr Sheng Zhang
BDS / BOH · MDSc Periodontics and Implantology · GradDip Orthodontics · FRACDS · FIDIA · FIADFE
Dr Zhang is a bilingual general dentist speaking fluent Mandarin. He performs all facets of implant dentistry, gum treatment (periodontics), and orthodontic treatment at our practice. He is also certified in airway dentistry and aviation dentistry.
Dr Zhang completed a Bachelor of Oral Health from University of Sydney and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide where he was awarded the University Medal. Upon graduation he served as a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and was Senior Dental Officer of No. 2 Expeditionary Health Squadron. He has further post graduate qualifications in orthodontics and specialist training in periodontics with a sub specialisation in implants from Spain.

Dr Sara Stockham

Dr Sara Stockham is one of the principal Dentists at Dental Artistry Group. Her creativity and passion for health, nutrition and holistic care has shaped much of her dental career and research, being interested in ways dentistry can affect general health and growth.
Dr Sara has worked in the dental industry for over 20 years. She has published research on the effect of periodontal bacteria on adverse pregnancy outcomes and completed a Masters researching the effect of tongue-tie on breastfeeding, growth, and orthodontic outcomes.

Academy Manager
Daniel Kitchen
Daniel joined the Dental Artistry team after 8 years in retail management. Utilising his customer service background and calm and cheerful personality, Daniel strives to ensure that everyone who walks though the doors at Dental Artistry has a positive experience. After a few years on the front desk learning the ins and outs of the admin side of dentistry, Daniel was promoted to Office and Academy manager where he continues to care for our patients and students.
Born and raised in Auckland, Daniel has experience as a freelance copywriter, subtitle transcriptionist, and has studied literature, film and photography. Outside of work he loves reading, video games, Japanese food, playing badminton with his friends and going to cafes. Daniel co-founded the Dental Artistry Book Club with Elisha.
