Overview:
This course is designed for those who have experience in surgical implant placement and would like to expand their knowledge and skills to allow for the management of more complex cases requiring maxillary sinus lift procedures. One third of all teeth lie under or are positioned adjacent to the maxillary sinus. Its mastery is essential for the implant surgeon to provide the broad spectrum of dental implant procedures for their patients. The program is a combination of lectures, hands on workshops and live surgeries so clinicians leave the course confident to provide sinus lift procedures immediately.
This unique course will cover all aspects of patient assessment and most importantly the decision tree for the various sinus lift procedures available today. The first two days focus on the principles of maxillary sinus lifts and will cover future site development at the time of extraction (Jensen & Block Techniques) as well as the various transalveolar sinus lift procedures. These procedures include Summers Osteotome, Cosci reamers, Hydrodynamic piezoelectric internal sinus elevation (HPISE), hydraulic elevation and Osseodensification using Densah® bur techniques.
Mastery of these skills will allow the clinician to manage the majority of cases requiring maxillary sinus lifts.
The optional third day is for those wishing to understand and embark on lateral sinus floor elevation techniques. Classic window techniques using complete osteoplasty, hinged/trap door and piezoelectric saw techniques will be covered however a focus on minimally invasive surgeries to prepare single sites will be the focus of the third day using the PIEZO and DASK systems.
The course importantly covers all facets of complication management.
