    Overview:

This is a unique 4-day periodontal plastic surgical course covering the A-Z of soft tissue surgery. The course is split into two parts. Part 1 covers the traditional mucogingival surgeries such as frenectomies, apical repositioned flaps, lateral repositioned flaps, double papilla flaps and the king of all grafts the Free Gingival Graft. These skills will allow the dentist to not just manage defects around teeth but also to develop ideal emergence profiles for fixed and removable prosthesis at edentulous ridges.

Part 2 of the course covers procedures for recession coverage. Both coronally advancement flaps and tunnelling techniques will be covered extensively using autologous, alloplasts and xenografts. Minimally traumatic techniques for connective tissue harvesting will be extensively covered.

The course is designed to be hands on training heavy with 2 days dedicated to working on periodontal models and pig jaws.

Dr Sheng has trained extensively in soft tissue plastics learning from the world leaders in USA, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland. This allows him to develop a unique course which covers all the latest techniques without being a strict adherer to any one dogma. This results in a deeper understanding of picking procedures which are ideally suited to each individual and their needs.
